Maintaining transparency, adopting change, and promoting happiness are the values we at IOLLA have continued to strive for ever since our founding in 2015. Year round fair margins and a frozen pricing structure are some of the ways in which we do this, and consciously not participating in Black Friday is another. 

Landing on the last Friday of November, Black Friday inaugurates each year’s Christmas shopping season with many retailers and brands offering heavily reduced products for a limited period of time. The last few years have increasingly seen more and more companies take a stand against the controversial endorsement of overconsumption and fast fashion, but we want to change the game completely. 

 Many retailers maintain artificially inflated prices throughout the year to allow for flash sales that create a false sense of value in their products, but IOLLA dares to be different. We always seek to drive for positive change, locally as well as at an industry level, which is why we sell our frames at a consistent price that benefits our customers and dignifies the product itself.

 That being said, possibly our most frequently asked question, both in store and online, is in regards to how our prices can remain so low without us having to compromise on quality. Designing everything in-house and pairing directly with the factories themselves allow us to wave goodbye to the middle men that so often clog up, and raise the price of, a brand’s production line. We also assemble and glaze everything in our own Glasgow lab before selling exclusively to you on our website or in our Glasgow and, soon to be, Edinburgh showrooms.

 Keeping our costs low and expectations high, IOLLA has gone from strength to strength over the past two and half years with this transparent work ethic, something we can only thank you all for being so supportive of.
